Lucifer

DESIGN CONCEPT

How does your wearable reflect politics?

LUCIFER is a wearable design inspired by women's uprising in Iran. The wearable grows on the body like an organic form of armor. Lucifer is a being caught between worlds – neither wholly good nor wholly evil. Lucifer emerged as a poignant symbol, embodying the enigmatic and daunting facets of existence and stands as a testament to the beauty found within the shadows. Lucifer embodies a sense of rebellion against the established order. Through this lens, I glimpsed my own journey of crafting Lucifer as a character living in my digital universe transcending the limitations of material and form in what’s been called fashion.

DESIGN PROCESS

In the creation of Lucifer, Grasshopper swarm algorithms are employed to generate a digital garment that evolves and morphs on the body, producing a dynamic, organic form of armor. This algorithmic approach is further refined and animated using Cinema 4D. Additionally, C4D is used to create various environments that capture the transformative journey of empowerment and defiance against societal constraints. This process visualizes a metaphorical cycle of entrapment and liberation through chains, spanning across allegorical realms from Eden to Hell.
